Founded in 1986, the Maison des arts de Laval’s mission is to offer a high standard multidisciplinary program to Laval residents in the best possible performance conditions.

This arts centre has become the focal point of artistic expression in Laval. It is the home of many artists and groups that present their shows and activities there. Over the years, it has featured a rich and diversified programming of visual arts, theatre, dance, music, literature and comedy shows, not to mention an impressive offering of shows addressing youth and families.

Among the major events and series presented at the Maison des art, the Croissant-Musique Breakfasts, the Journées de la culture, the Rencontre théâtre Ados, Les Grandes Sorties jeune public and many other art activities will appeal both the amateur and the connoisseur.

Auditorium and multifunctional rooms
The Maison des arts offers many multifunctional rooms aside from the Théâtre des muses, an auditorium with a capacity of 354 seats and an orchestra box that can welcome 20 musicians. As for the Salle Alfred-Pellan, it's the exhibition room of the Maison des arts. It is possible to rent one or the other rooms of the Maison des arts for special occasions.
